The Science of Learning: Education Funders Guide (Draft v0.1, October 2026), prepared by Learning Science Partners for the Global Science of Learning Education Network (GSoLEN) with funding from the Enfranchisement Foundation, argues that philanthropy should put the science of learning at the center of education transformation. The guide contends that decades of research on how people learn have not yet become part of everyday educator practice, system design, or funding decisions. It calls this the “last-mile” gap, and treats closing it as urgent given advances in AI, shifting workforce demands, and concerns about student learning.
