GSoLEN is the world’s largest and most robust network of science of learning experts, with more than 900 members across 66 countries.

Together, we activate world-class research to reshape learning opportunities for each student, in their culture, and in their moment.

Our mission is the improved integration of the science of learning into education policy and practice, creating learning environments and experiences that allow all learners to thrive.

We are working towards a world in which all people of all ages, backgrounds, contexts, and abilities are able to fulfill their human right to quality, science-based education.

Our Approach

GSoLEN is a global knowledge-brokering network, focused on the wide-scale and effective implementation of the Science of Learning to improve education for all.

Multi-stakeholder

Within and across disciplines. GSoLEN allows scientists, practitioners, policymakers, and philanthropists to work together more effectively – facilitating bi-directional feedback and influence between research and implementation – to share knowledge, develop multiple strategies for implementation, and validate the effectiveness of that implementation.

Global

GSoLEN leverages its diverse community to expand, learn, and apply the science of learning across national, cultural, and socio-economic differences in global contexts.

Distributed and Scalable

GSoLEN is a network-of-networks, that unifies and complements various SoL sectors, networks, and initiatives, and builds upon it to catalyze and accelerate new opportunities for impact.

GSoLEN is a learning community, enhanced by agility-enabling technology, in which part of doing the work is also learning (and sharing with the field) how we collectively do this work better.

  1. Grounded in the Science of Learning:
    The Science of Learning is an important foundation for advancing effective, equitable education in all contexts and regions. SoL breaks through traditional discipline, geographic and demographic barriers, and draws knowledge from many different fields to build our understanding of how people learn and thrive.

    GSoLEN works to connect the science of learning to education policy and practice in pursuit of equitable education outcomes in contexts across the world. Our investment is driven by a sincere commitment to helping all people thrive and reach their full potential.

    Science is not static, and the science of learning is a constantly evolving body of work and knowledge that continues to refine itself and grow over time. In the same way, GSoLEN strives to actively listen and respond to the needs, achievements, challenges, and opportunities being surfaced by its members.
