In this video, our director, Kelly Shiohira, discusses with Dr. Mathilde Cerioli the five factors that contribute to AI's cumulative impact on child development.
This conversation is based on the article entitled "The Future of Child Development in the AI Era Cross-Disciplinary Perspectives Between Artificial Intelligence& Child Development Experts," by Mathilde Neugnot-Cerioli and Olga Muss Laurenty.
Dr. Cerioli is the Chief Scientist and co-founder of Everyone.AI, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the ethical development of AI, respecting and protecting the cognitive and socio-emotional development of children and young adults(aged 0 to 25). Their mission is to anticipate and proactively educate about the risks and opportunities of AI for the next generation.

This scientific report's main goal is to establish a collaborative framework. It brings together 15 experts in AI and child development to anticipate future AI applications in children’s lives and their potential ramifications on cognitive and socio-emotional development.
