In this video, Bob Wise, one of our Cofounders, speaks with Dr. Cecilia Waismann, the Vice President of R&D at MindCET—EdTech Innovation Center.

Dr. Waismann tells us that MindCET's challenge is to make the knowledge and research accessible to all and put into practice in classrooms. They do this by bringing together high-tech, R&D, young entrepreneurs, educators, and decision-makers, creating teams, and challenging them.

She mentioned they have two levels: 1. They bring practitioners inside the conversations of R&D labs where research is taking place, and 2. They bring researchers and startups together. So, startups understand that anything they do needs to be based on research and knowledge.

She stresses the point that to make this happen, "You need a good program with a clear objective. And then you put these people together, and magic comes out of it."
"And for me, that's where the knowledge broker is, in the context, agreeing on the common objective."
