Thank you for attending our recent webinar, “Science of Learning and Education Policy in an AI World: Towards New Dialogue.” We hope you found the discussion insightful and engaging. Our distinguished panel of speakers explored the intersection of learning science, education policy, and artificial intelligence, highlighting how interdisciplinary research can enhance policymaking, improve equity, and boost educational outcomes. This webinar, moderated by GSoLEN Advisor Carla Aerts and hosted by GSoLEN Director Kelly Shiohira, aims to foster essential dialogue between researchers and policymakers. We will delve into how interdisciplinary research findings within the science of learning can be leveraged to enhance education policy-making, improve equity, and boost educational outcomes. We were honored to feature distinguished speakers, including:

  • Lord Jim Knight, a member of the House of Lords in Westminster and Former Labour Education Minister;
  • Dr. Leanne Chukoskie, Co-Founder and Chief Science Officer at BrainLeap Technologies, and Director of the Rehabilitation Games and Extended Reality Lab at Northeastern University;
  • Auditi Chakravarty, President and CEO of the Advanced Education Research and Development Fund (AERDF).
